Leo F. Weaver passed away Sunday August 27, 2017 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Leo was born November 18, 1918 in North Tonawanda, NY he was the son of the late Vincent and Helena (Darlow) Weaver. He served proudly in the US Navy from 1941 to 1945. Serving on the USS LaGrange APA 124 where he was a anphip driver taking soldiers from ship to shore in the South Pacific at Mariana Islands receiving the Presidential Citation, Navy Good Conduct and Asian Pacific Ribbon with 3 Battle Stars. Upon returning from service he worked at a steel factory and retired from Harrison Radiator, Div. of GM in 1980 after 25 years. Leo was predeceased by his wife Mildred (Chapman) Weaver. Father of Joleen (David) Bunn, Kathy (Roger) Dickinson and the late Judith Nerber; father in law of Richard Nerber; grandfather of David (Amanda) Bunn, Cynthia Rose, Kimberly (Mark) Benedict, Richard Nerber, Alan Nerber, Laney Dickinson and Brian Dickinson; Great Grandfather of Lisa Paladino, Madison Bunn, David Bunn V, Franklin Rose, Anthony Nerber and Nicholas Rose and several other great great grandchildren and special nephew, Thomas (Tena) Weaver, and several other nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday August 30, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where service will be held Thursday August 31, 2017 at 11 AM. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials to the American Lung Association or the Charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
