Obituary of Jessie Marie Salmeri

Jessie M. Salmeri passed away on October 7, 2017 in Odd Fellows and Rebekah Health Care Center. Born in Lockport on May 7, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Attilio and DiCarlo Martino. Jessie was a cook and baker at Lockport Memorial Hospital for 35 years, retiring in 1994. She married the late John J. Salmeri on February 23, 1952 in St. Joseph's RC Church, he passed away on December 22, 1995. Jessie was the mother of John J. (Beth) Salmeri Jr., Carl (Theresa) Salmeri and Cindy Paterson; grandmother of 12 and great grandmother of 14. She was the sister of Constance (late Robert) Verity, Josephine (Les) Brewer and the late Rosemarie (late Will) Johnson, Theresa (late John) Terranova, Marianne Drew, Dr. Charles J. Martino and Andrew Martino. Jessie is also survived by several nieces and nephews and her dear friend, Richard Kneussle. Friends may call on Friday October 13th 4-8 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10 AM in All Saints RC Parish, 76 Church Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
