My deepest condolences to the Byrd family and all whom loved and cherished him. He was one the best I've had the privilege of knowing he was a gift. He was a great musician. I have fond memories of him and I would always see him out local bands playing and I would sit with him and give him a ride home everytime I would see him . I remember he thought the world of me and I him. He cared about his friends. I remember he adored my little cousin Katie Garvey too. She would look out for him too. Everyone in the community loved Ray. I miss you Ray and those days special memories of you. I love your family. Remeber the younger days of the YMCA too. I played pool and ping pong and your brother Kenny Director of th Y. taught me magic tricks after swim practice.. May you be at peace and in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven I will see you again in Heaven. Prayers for comfort to the broken hearted as God promises he draws near too seek Him he loves you and will help you and keep you deliver and save you as Jesus came to save us and leave a comforter the Holy Spirit. May He comfort you all in your time if sorrow and draw you to himself during such a loss of such a dear brother and friend and sweet soul brother Ray. God watch over the Byrds for me they were all so very kind to me and inspirations in my life. My thoughts, love and prayers Love, Kim Mullaney

We are very saddened to hear of the passing Ray! I grew up with Ray and The Byrd Family. What a great musician he was. He was greatly loved, respected, and admired. May his soul rest in eternal peace! Our sincerest condolences go out to The Byrd Family!

I am sorry to hear of Ray's passing. He was always pleasant and a pleasure to be with. We played ping pong at the Y in our younger days. His disability didn't change his disposition at all. He will be missed. God Bless Ray and the Byrd family.
