Obituary of Myra Z. Fry

Myra Z. Fry passed away January 7, 2025 in Lockport Memorial Hospital. She was born on November 21, 1931 in Wilson, NY a daughter of the late Elmer and Gertrude (Bohnstadt) Zastrow. Myra worked in production at Harrison Radiator in Lockport, NY. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a former member of the Rapids Ladies Auxiliary, and the UAW Travel Club.  Myra enjoyed entertaining, knitting, gardening but most of all spending time with her family.

Myra was predeceased by her husband Donald F. Fry and siblings Howard Zastrow, Joanne Vought, Pauline Fry, Phyllis Schank, Marlin Zastrow and in-laws Marvin(Dutch) Fry, Clarence Fry, Roy Fry, Doris Dietz, Lorraine Dysinger, Carol Lippert, Norman Fry, Howard Fry, Glen Fry. She is survived by her loving daughter Cynthia “Cindy” (late James) Johnson, partner Larry Liles; grandchildren Leah Johnson, James and Mikayla Johnson; great grandchild Houston Johnson. Also survived by her sister Annabelle (Arthur) Bird, Marjorie Singleton, and Marceline Zastrow and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call on Monday, January 13th from 4-7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where a funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 14th at 11 AM. Interment in Acacia Park Cemetery.
